I always reckon that the photographs that people take of the places that they know intimately are different. The outsider goes for the big, dramatic statement. This is loving, under-stated, private.

In my view, as a renowned and respected landscape photographer, (
) I believe this to be the best of this series of colour images form your back garden, so to speak.
The nearest dry stone wall provided a watershed for the light - crisp and clear on our side, diffus and delightfully hazy beyond.
