Yellow Horned Poppy

By lostnspace2011
This is the beautiful, yet very poisonous Yellow Horned Poppy (Glaucium Flavum). All parts of the plant, including the seeds, are toxic and can produce a range of symptoms up to and including respiratory failure resulting in death. It is a native of Africa and found in parts of Europe. It is always found on the seashore and never grows inland.

Image was taken at Pagham harbour nature reserve in W Sussex last week.
