Hey Folks. Yep your right, another one of Clio. She is not happy with my new camera and I am finding it hard to get a good pic of her. This is one of many attempts today. Processed from Raw, changed a few bits of colour and also did a wee bit of brightening of her eyes. She has beautiful green eyes but didn't "pop" in this photo. I am getting the hang of this slowly.
Thank you to all that commented on my last upload. All your advice is so welcome.

Thanks Barbara. She is definitely not posing, more like running away. Smile Don't think she likes the look of the big black thing in my hand that makes whirring noises when pointed at her. Smile Thanks again. Smile

LOL...I don't think we will go there.....Smile

I find with moggies a longish zoom ( Nothing to fancy or exotic ) can help you, This way you can keep a distance from the victim....Eerr Sorry subject, Then catch the blighters by suprise....Grin

I quite often use a 70-300mm lens to reasonable effect, When I have a shorter lens on the camera one of two things happens ( usually ) First they keep moving away.....Sad Second they keep coming in close for a quick rub around the lens hood, Way to close and within licking range too.....!!!

Your doing great as it is, So my suggestion is for when the going gets tough.....LOL....Wink

You are getting the hang of it now. This is a step up in quality from your last picture. I second Camercat's suggestion to use a longer lens on animals - and cats are uncooperative blighters at the best of times. A man I once met defined it to me as, 'Dogs have masters, cats have staff.' Stick one on your Christmas list. A budget one will produce indistinguishable results from a pro job that costs an arm and a leg for shots like this. Although the uploaded picture has to be a JPEG, if it was created from a RAW file, you should select RAW in the recording media.

Very true Dave. Thank you for your kind words and encouragement. Will remember to post as raw the next time. Definitely putting a longer lens on the Xmas list. I've just purchased a polarising lens from Amazon so looking forward to receiving that.

Cameracat - yes I have that problem too with the little kitten and wanting to rub against the lens. Can only seem to catch them when they are sleeping, but that is too easy, taking that they sleep most of the day. Smile thank you for your kind comments. Smile

Thank you to all that have clicked and commented on my attempts. It means a lot.

Great shot of this little cat, still wouldn't of cropped the ears off though. My cat is just the same with the DSLR, runs a mile. I find my Tamron 70-300 lens works best with her, I don't have to wait until she's snoring. Lol
