~~~Blue tit~~~(revisited)
By Loupix
.
This is a revamp of a previous photo, I really didn't like the crop (deleted now)
I think this version looks much better. let me know what you think.
Setup:-
Not much of a setup really I find candid shots very hard to do as birds are never where you want them to be. So I chose a place that I knew birds would be. (town centre feeding spot) placed a couple of perches in a bush near by, and waited. they feed on a concrete hut, who knows what for, but the bush beside it is a perfect perch. But you know what, niether my previous sparrow or this blue tit landed on the pirch I placed.
Nicely exposed and the out of focus bush on the left balances the image very well - nice one.
Beautifully taken image and I strongly prefer the original, but would have preferred a halfway between the two crop. I don't think the bird has any headroom here and birds like to to upwards! The image quality is cracking and I think it worth you having another look at this.
I'd prefer a little more headroom, other than that, it's very nice. Scruffy character...could have groomed him first :o)
I know what you mean about bird photos! Nicely captured but a little more headroom would make this a better image - up to the yellow line in your frame would be adequate IMO.
