Number three

By LuzDeNoche
When she's not drawing pictures of the headmaster without his clothes on, or jumping around the classroom spouting swearwords in English, TT still provides the entertainment for her doting (and somewhat exhausted) parents...

New Hipstamatic pack + a little flash 'pour la route'

Ah, la belle poupette. Is she following her parent(s) example then! I thing this child shows promise of a great future. Love the hipsterwotsit and the pose and effect but the eyes are a bit disturbing. Smile

Now I understand better: the charming terrorist Smile

(Thinks: must be the same age as Zazie in Queneau's masterpiece, manic but knowing........)

Love the effect, almost b&w negative.

Ah, if only 'twere just her eyes!

@Bill - yon terrorist now wearing cute summer dress, new winter boots and cuddling piglet - an enigma! She makes Ulysses look simple.

Oh my goodness, I've tried for 30+ years to even get to the end of chapter one. I have to admit the average normal child is of little interest but Number Three sounds like a rare example of the species that I might enjoy engaging with!

Bill showed me this last night after I had logged out, and it sent me to bed laughing. I had rather gathered that No Three is the one I would get on with. Though the question does arise - who taught her the English swear words... ?
This has the look of a picture in a tabloid newspaper shock horror expose (can't do accents on the laptop) of the alien world of adolescents. Oh and I must remember how disturbing red-eye looks when converted to b&w!

I blame my other half, who thinks it's OK to swear like a trooper as long as it's not in French. In any case it would appear to run in the family. My sister once filmed a very innocent looking Emilie at about the age of twelve listing all the swear words she knew in English. It was quite hilarious. I must try and find that video clip.

Oh, out of interest is referring to a lady as a bitch less offensive (even in fun) than the French equivalent. I don't even know if men call their women as a chienne!

As usual it all depends on context. Chienne isn't the only word available and in a non-sexual context is quite possibly milder than salope. There's a superb scene in La Vie est un Long Fleuve Tranquille where the doctor discovers his spurned lover (the nurse of course) switched the babies at birth.

I'll come back to this, thank you for reply and video. I did of course mean to write originally "more" not "less". Smile

Oh, marvellous clip. Not previously knowing the term "la salope", the man speaks so gently and with such admiration that you would never guess it's term of abuse!
