Postcard from the edge

By LuzDeNoche
Evenin' all.
Well, it has been six months since I last uploaded anything, and with one thing and another (I'll spare you the details) I just haven't felt like it.
However, my model husband, having dragged himself away from his somewhat tedious online card game, is now back uploading and encouraging me, so I thought this little effort might interest you.
We're launching the new internet site of the town very soon, and we're having a postcard printed to advertise the fact, and this is the proposed view of the basilica (of course) reflected in a window with leaf shaped cast iron bars over it. For me it was the perfect occasion to test the improved perspective tools in adobe CS4.
I hope you like it.

I'll be trying to visit as many 'old friends' as I can this weekend, once I've got the dental appointement out of the way Tongue

Delighted to see you here again, Lucy. You will find us all six months older, though our wisdom will doubtless be lagging far behind Smile

I like this original view for the combination of shapes that leaves the basilica instantly recognisable, and for the excellent tones. I hope the website launch goes well!

There were whoops of delight in Woolybill Towers. Great to see you back, things have been kinda quiet without you. But I think you will find us six months sillier rather than wiser.
This is beautiful, I guess it would be a bit too subtle for a postcard in England but the French have always had the edge there n'est-ce pas? So many layers in this, the iron-work and its reflections, the window frame, the cathedral reflection. Nicely done (in the true sense).
