Delightful Durham 3 (21 of 23)

By LynneJoyce
Nearly there emptying the 'Ready' folder of older posts, this is the last set taken during our 20th wedding anniversary weekend visit to Durham in February with some more views of this enchanting city including one (V9) of some unseasonably early blossom. The light varied minute by minute and we did have some rain but nothing can dampen one's spirit in this magical place. The only gripe I have is that they don't allow photography inside the cathedral. It is such a shame because the pillars alone are worthy of a set in their own right.

As ever the exif applies only to the first shot. The images were taken with both the canon 5D mark 2 and the Sony RX 10. It depended on how much I was prepared to lug the heavy camera bag around but as you can see from the opening shot and V4, I just had to use the Canon so that I could affix the fisheye lens to it.

Thank you for viewing and I hope that you enjoy at least some of these images.

A delightful tour of Durham and the Cathedral with your rowers nicely captured too.
I love the shadow in V3, the curve in V8 and close up of the spires in V5.
All being well we're going to Allensford in Co Durham at September weekend.

Another excellent collection that makes me want to re-visit a city I last experienced in the mid 1990s.
Superb photography and presentation, Lynne.
