Desiccated & Fresh

By LynneJoyce
I'm still poorly and will be considerably poorer due to having to resort to private health care in order to get some attention. So to distract myself I decided to look close to home for photographic inspiration.

I love fresh roses but I love it even more when I have deliberately left them to dry out and desiccate like the ones featured in this post. I love their pronounced textures, veining and subtle colour. So here they are on all their dried out loveliness.

Having captured the roses I looked for something fresh as a contrast. I happened on the fungus on the nearby recreation ground and got only this one shot before it was trampled by Ansel & Alfred who were both curious about why I was getting down and dirty. Back at home the snow pea shoots fulfilled the freshness requirement so I took some shots of them.

Thank you for viewing and I hope that you enjoy at least some of these desiccated and fresh beauties.
