Rapturous Raptors

By LynneJoyce
A selection of Rapturous Raptors from the display we saw in Lanzarote in February. They were tricky to capture for me as a non bird photographer but a delight to witness. My absolute favourite was the Vulture and I managed to get a few good shots of that one (the opener plus V's 3, 7 and 11.) The opener is the shot I like best. Needless to say I had to duck immediately after taking it.The Condor on the other hand (or should that be wing) was so huge that I never managed to get a decent in flight shot, only the landing shot, V6.

Just in case anyone thinks of complaining that I have broken The Rules by posting an even number of shots, May I remind that twelve = 1 dozen and 1 is an odd number!!!

Joking aside, thank you for viewing and I hope that you enjoy at least some of these avian lovelies.

my favourite is v1....
but I must admit I am not easy with performing animals that should be free
tho if I asked them they are probably happier with full bellies every day.Grin

Versions 1, 2, 4, and 9 are my favourites, Lynne. Terrific expressions, wonderful shots. I couldn't help noticing that there are yuccas and many dangerous spiky cacti around.
