Seasonal Progression

By LynneJoyce
More from the immediate locality, images captured immediately before the mowers decapitated all my models and showing the progression of the season. The Buttercups are now at different stages of development, lovely at every stage - well they were before the mowers got to them that is. The plantains are starting to flower too, we have lots of Welsh Poppies springing up everywhere and there are grass seed heads.

The flower featured in 2, 11 and 13 was absolutely minuscule, but the plant was about 8" tall, quite unlike the Speedwells that stay close to the ground. Help with I/D would be appreciated.

It will be a while before anything springs up again but I did take lots of shots so there may well be more to come. Thank you for looking and I hope you enjoy at least some of them.

V10 and V14 for me! I am fairly sure the blue is Speedwell. There is a lady who grows weeds (or plants in the wrong place), who IDs them, sounds like Corn Speedwell which is taller, but there are so many!
