YAY, At Last!

By LynneJoyce
Though we were back to a frosty morning this morning and now have icy rain, I did manage to get out in some half decent light on Saturday and capture some of the first signs of Spring in the immediate locality. For 'March winds' read 'howling gales' (well we do live in Windhill) so shutter speed priority to the rescue yet again.

My usual post of 15 images (see I do take note of the diktat that everything has to be in odd numbers) with a few shadows in there to prove that there was light at last, and as a contribution to Saturday Shadows because all the shots were taken on Saturday.

No doubt we will plunge in and out of Winter several more times before Spring is finally firmly established, but here we have 15 pieces of evidence that my very favourite season, Spring, has finally arrived. There is even the very first, intrepid bug in there.

As ever V1 was chosen because it makes the best thumbnail, not because it is my favourite. Many of you will identify your favourites and give your reasons for choosing them, and that is wonderful because it is so refreshing to see things through the eyes of others, and we are all different. Just for fun, let's see if anyone can identify which ones are me favourites.

V1, 2, 6, 7, 8, 9,and V14 are my favourites, Lynne. I want to think that they are yours as well. Why? V2 and V8 are favoured because of their shape, compo and colours they appeal more to my taste. V9 because of shadow and light. V6 for the bee and clarity. V7 for the back lit and seamless appearance. V14 for the deep colours and striking look.
Excellent set!

You certainly made hay while the sun shone, Lynne, capturing the essence of spring with this extensive collection.
V 1 was well chosen for intros, but my favourite is perhaps V 7 b/o the effect of the back lighting, but it's a hard choice.
I'd be happy with any of them.

It's interesting to read which are everybody's favourites and why.
I like the unopened daffodils in V2 & V8 - simple and elegant.
V4 & V7 lovely clumps of crocuses.
V13 & V14 for good contrast.
V9 - great shadow.
Do let us know which were your own favourites.
