Paddling Pee Wee

By Lynniesefforts
These images were taken on a sunny winter's day last winter. He was paddling on the top of next door's water tank, having the time of his life..
The Pee Wee is also called a Magpie Lark, they have the most beautiful song and sing in duets with other pee wees..
Thank you for all comments and clicks on my last upload..It is always appreciated here. Grin

Apologies for mainly clicking, and not commenting, small family crisis here..arrgghh life..

Magpie-lark is also named “Peewee”, coming from its call. This bird may sing in duet with its partner, each mate uttering interspersed notes, producing as only one single song. Calls are “pee-o-wit” or “pee-wee” given in duets, while birds raise its wing in turn. Pair sings together in defence of territory, and in response to other birds, mainly against strangers, different from usual neighbours.

A great set Lynette, has to be my favourite Aussie bird as its the symbol for the AFL football team Collingwood, who I support....ok ok I know I am not supposed to own up for supporting themGrinGrinGrinGrin
Colleen I think you are talking about the Magpies, yes?? This is a peewee, no relation really, apart from the colours.. I think Collingwood would be a little insulted !! Tongue.. and there's nothing wrong with Collingwood, go the Maggies!!
