Superb lighting on the subject, and the colours in the background give it a wonderful 'oomph'!

That little boat at the from with a well chosen dof gives the image a lovely depth! And the sun not being in shot makes it more dramatic, superb light!

#2 is made by the chute being thrown out the back!

Perfect Formation

Love the lighting and lovely and sharp!! I say it a lot, but I like something different, I hate the normal 'hawks crossing over' shot. So Spot on! Grin

Always nice to see something other than the normal swan pic Grin very nice! Exposures well balanced and I like the effect the fish eye has given!

Try shooting in shutter priority, then balance it to minimise shake but keep it slow enough to get the blades spinning. Frozen props arnt very desirable in my opinion. But from my iPad the helicopters don't look bad at all Smile nice pose!

P.s. There Lynx not apaches.

Nope, it's a Harvard. The T-38 isn't a tail dragger and is a lot bigger

Great Crested Grebe calling

I love that you've got down to it's level ! Not often you see pics of them calling, so well done on getting something different!

Rock Hopper

Take me back to my trials riding teenage years!

But the pics.... The image itself is fine, nice and sharp, nice background with the water and well lit. But you've left no space for the rider to 'move into'. You appear to have put him in the wrong 3rd of the frame, thus making the picture appear very cramped.

Try and take the same pictures again doing what I suggested and you will see straight away.

Inside the church

Only suggestion would be that you maybe try and remove the notice board at the back, or try cropping it out, but I think this may make the picture abit cramped and lessen the 'impact'. Have a play, would be nice to see without it.
Otherwise, very nice contrasty picture.
