an elegant stiff

By macdaniel
For days this fly sat on a black cardboard that shields stray light from the computer screen and lit in the evening by a tungsten lamp; it appeared to be an adult mayfly acc to wikipaedia and it has a life span from 30 minutes to at most a day - whence the popular name day-fly and the joke 'what is the ultimate misery? Being a day-fly and not having one's day'; so, I was looking - and you now - at a corpse, admitting, one with an angelic elegance and could as easily have been - as pictured here - a catalogue image of an ancient piece of gold artistry from Persia or Rome.

hope you still like it
thanks for looking and appreciation
