Red Sky at Night

I am having a go at sunsets. Any tips or suggestions welcome please. One of my problems is I need to get myself a tripod!

Not bad for a first Maggie.
Yes a tripod is a must for these. Also, follow the rule of thirds, there is too much sky on this one. Next is to have a bit of foreground intrest, preferably, water as this can really enhance the sky with the reflections. Another one to try is metering, use spot metering on a mid toned part of the scene, this should help bring out a lot more detail. And the last tip i can give is practise and practise, you WILL improve.
