I have a great liking for Scots Pine, they always look so good with snow behind too.
Nice shot Ronnie, nice to see you getting into the highlands even if it was a while ago.

Superb landscape shot.

I am hoping that this is one from last winter Ronnie because what hits you up there usually comes to us shortly afterwards and that is snow that I see! What the hell, we are off to Spain in a week and it won't matter for a fortnight.

This is very well composed Ronnie - I love the blue tinges in the snow.
I know this spot when we were at The Falls of Falloch, spotted these trees
but never had a chance to stop.
You wouldn't capture this from the road?
The choice of one larger tree as a subject was a good idea.

I like this but wonder whether it would be better with the dead tree trunk in the foreground cloned out? I find it a bit distracting. Think the image might look even better in black and white?

I had tried doing what you suggested re. the dead trunk but did nit manage to achieve it without producing an unnatural look: thanks for suggestion re. B and W........I trued it out on a duplicate, Vicky, but was less keen on it.

Random trees are great thought like this last time I was driving down the great glen there are loads just asking to be in a shot such as this fresh and lovely image.
