Castlerigg at dawn

By maggietear
A really cold December morning, in one of the most magical places in the Lakes; made even more so by the appearance of a Druid, circling the stones! No sheep and no people at that time in the morning, apart from a Druid! Followed by the odd photographer, as always!!

Thanks for your comments on Amy's memorial, they were all interesting to read!

Quite a supernatural aura as well as coooooolness emanating from this one, Maggie: well done getting up so early for this shot.

A very eerie and haunting photograph, the light adding to that feeling ten fold.

As Anne says, dark and mysterious. I'm not sure that I would want to be alone with the stones at this time, they have a very strong presence.

Cracking shot, it does look very chilly though, I agree I think a B&W version would work really well

Terrific atmosphere, Maggie - but why didn't you include the Druid?!! Very dark and brooding - but do you think the stones could have been "lifted" just a tad?

Looks very foreboding Maggie, I think it's a dam good low light shot, should enter it in the comp. in mono, regards Leon.GrinGrinGrinGrinGrin
