Memories of 9/11

Another one from New York; This is the new tower that overlooks the 9/11 Memorial. I realised that the in-coming planes to Newark Airport were passing very near the new tower, creating a strange feeling as we watched them go overhead.

Thanks for looking, sorry I haven't been around to either load-up or comment the last few days!

I saw the plane even before I took in the balance in the rest of the composition. Generally I like that sort of detail in the sky - plane or bird or vapour trail - it means movement, something dynamic and unpredictable.
Here it has an added weight.

Great capture of the One World Trade Center (formally know as the Freedom Tower. I work one block away from there. That's a site I see a lot here. There is a lot of air traffic over Manhattan these days.
