Walking in the snow

By maggietear
Just right for today in London, though it's not going to last. Taken Christmas 2 years ago near Elterwater. The mist, a hint of light, the deep snow - it was all so beautiful. I used my little Canon Ixus so not the quality I could get now with my Olympus Pens. Hope we have more snow this year!

The distant hill tops merge with the mist and cloud outlines. Magical.
Just had a text from our daughter, snow in central London.

Got to agree! A beautiful shot and the shaft of lightened sky just brings light and life into the image! But as you well know, I def don't want to shiver!!!!!

Almost monochromatic - lovely wintery atmosphere. I sometimes miss this kind of weather, but not something we have where I live now. Sometimes it snows and we dash outside in a hurry to get some shots before it all melts.

Lovely image.
The picture itself is fine Maggie, don't need a huge image for the web. It's rarely the camera but rather the person who takes the photograph, you've proved in the few images that you have here that you're capable behind the camera and I'm sure you'll improve even more with the site around you now.
