Very well done and didn't it pose perfectly for you. I love butterflies and know how hard it can be. I've seen Apollos in France but they weren't settling too much. Despite that I did get some shots, though none with the perfect background like yours.

  • Crete, Griffon Vulture 5

Thought I'd uploaded one of my shots Patricia and forgotten about it. I took an identical shot in The Drome Valley in France last September. But I love this shot of yours too. They are fantastic birds. I'd say your shot has a slight edge over mine.

Loving the turned head Dean. Maybe a little more contrast wouldn't go amiss. Very very nice piece of work.

So, where did you see this one, I've seen them in south eastern France in the Vercours, I love them. Got a photo of one in my pf if you care to take a look. Shots of birds in flight aren't the easiest of subjects. Good effort, quite like the angle and the light.

  • Squirrel proof??

    Hilarious! Where there's a will, there's a squirrel.

Fabulous photos Jamie. I've recently come back from Costa Rica and what an amazing place for wildlife photographers. I wish I could have spent more time there but two days was all I had. But I did get a few cracking shots of butterflies. Would love to get back there.

  • Really nice work Nigel. Birds and Butterflies are a great subject, neither of them easy to photograph. Patience of a saint and then some.
  • Hi Linda, I've just commented on the Nuthatch and gone about equipment and quality of the outcome, but I decided to go into your PF and have been very pleasantly surprised. You certainly have an eye for a photo. Really like the landscapes. Maybe thats where your forte lies. Keep it up.

  • Just been to your website John and enjoyed every photo. Your work is very good, and it demonstrates your ability to turn your hand to any subject. I think you should upload one or two more shots to epz as they are definitely worth sharing.

  • Lovely work Brian. I see you have a head on shot of a GSW, so my head on of a blue tit isn't totally a no no for good photographers like yourself.
  • Absolutely superb work Jouko. You certainly have an eye for a great landscape photo.
