Lovely image.
I usually have a garden full of Goldfinches, but, as Julia says, they disappear around now for the time being.

An extremely high quality macro photograph my friend, in which you have managed to capture the very best of this gorgeous Goldfinch, great colours, well defined detail, and perfectly posed ready for you to carry out your photographic magic.

Fantastic image and your Goldfinch is so very different from our American Goldfinch which resembles more your Chaffinch! Patti Smile

It certainly is easier in the garden Ron rather than the chasing we did after them the other day at the field.
Nicely captured

Super image Ron.
My usual garden flock of around 15 also seem to have dwindled to the odd 4-5 daily visitors. Seem to have a recent large influx of sparrows. though.

The feeders have been very quiet lately. I think because there is so much natural food they prefer. He is a stunner.

Lovely sharp eye as it should be Ron, like the pose too, we don't get them in our garden though, in fact I've never known it be so quiet Sad
