Nice capture...we have a few Chaffinches with the leg problems, the growths are caused by mites, we have male who has lost one of his legs to this disease, but he still looks healthy and is eating, flying doing all the normal tweetie things.........I hope he finds a mate this year..GrinGrin

An excellent shot of this chaffinch, Ron. Sorry to hear they get a virus. Seems many creatures get viruses of one kind or another.
I've currently been surprised to see a Carolina chickadee nesting in my wren house under the eaves outside our bedroom - this is new behaviour! The wrens seem to be missing this year, and it makes me wonder why.
