Grey Wagtail

By Glostopcat
One of a pair of grey wagtails I saw beside the River Coln in Bibury yesterday morning when on a day out with fellow epzer gary_d in the Cotswolds. The weather was glorious for a Bank Holiday Monday and there was a fair bit of wildlife around despite the crowds.

Colours and marking are excellent. A while since we've had one of these little beauties around here but knowing how rarely they stay still, this must be a challenge!

Lovely DoF. Well captured.

Lovely clarity, Ed, and the yellow lichen echoes the birds colour nicely.

A stunning pin sharp capture of this rather flighty little bird Ed. Both colour and detail is second to none, a real credit to your determination and photographic skill .

Different Ed - only ever seen them on the rocks in rivers.

They were quite active in a willow tree beside the river gathering grubs for their young. What a pity I didn't bring my long lens with me, but it was too heavy to lug around on a hot day for a chance encounter such as this

he is gorgeous, I'd be chuffed to bits with that shot!!

Oh, a bird! It's no butterfly and not really a flower.
But it is spot clear and pin sharp. Well done!

It was pure luck that i got this shot and a few others too, Gary would have managed a few shots too had he his 400mm lens with him!
