Was taking a few pictures of Spring flowers around the garden, when I spotted a small spider amongst the leaves of an ornamental red current shrub. Zoomed into it ..... ..... then had a bit of fun with "GIMP", trying to make it look like a Tarantula.
Took this photo to remind me what it used to look like when threading a needle during the 1960's. Took another one to remind me, in a few years time, what it looks like to thread a needle now. Sadly it is too badly out of focus to be worth uploading.

It was worth getting up before dawn, and travelling during darkness in order to capture this view of the sky at about 05:30 bst.
..... were so vibrant, and changing almost as quickly as I could capture the images.
Really loved the way the early morning mist kept drifting in and out of view. The effects on the colours in some of my photos were very satisfying.
Went out before sunrise on Monday morning, 6 May 2013, to get some nice pictures looking across the River Mersey flood plain. Perfect weather for a change.
