An Binh Island, Mekong Delta Vietnam.
This photo was taken on one of the many small Canals which form a huge network of waterways surrounding An Binh Island.
The island of An Binh emerges from the middle of the Tien River, just opposite to the town of Vinh Long. The island’s area covers around 6,000 hectares and has four villages: An Binh, Binh Hoa Phuoc, Hoa Ninh and Dong Phu. Its soil is fertile and rich with fresh water and fruit trees.
When Diem and I visit our friend Trang who lives on the island we like nothing better than stringing up some hammocks in the orchard and relaxing in the shade and enjoying the many fruits.
Thanks for looking.
Malc.
