Sparrow

Female House Sparrow.

Another shot from the bedroom window yesterday using any means possible to steady the camera, for this one i used my fleece top on the window sill to cushion the camera and used the Sony H5 image stabilizer option which works quite well, also made a few enhancements in PS.
I have now built a small platform that sits on the window sill and supports the third leg of my tripod.
With the window wide open i can point the camera through the gap between window and wall down onto the Nieghbours Leylandii so now i have a hide, ( with central heating ) lol.

Ohhh...another wonderful shot, M! You know...the ice and those leaves make for SUCH a super setting. Don't think I've ever seen any bird pics with that. Cool Wink

Fantastic shot, the detail is excellent and the yellow/green of the conifers lifts the image and compliments the brown tones in the bird,superb composition.
