Good Hare Day

By Malc61
Happy with this picture but is the catch light in the eye a bit too big?

A really super detailed close up; it looks great to me

No. It's not IMO.
Presuming that it is the result of whatever lighting you used/was available, why question the result?
In addition, it is a super shot, which is improved over the thumbnail, by opening it. Were it mine, I'd be very pleased with it Wink
If I have a comment at all, it is about the lack of contrast of the BG colour. But very possibly, that was beyond your control.

You have reason to be proud of this one, Malcolm, it's excellent.
You ask about the eye. My first impression was that it looks perfectly natural. I took it into my editing programme to have a closer look and I don't think it's the catchlight (the brightest part) that is bothering you, but the light reflection across the top.
I really don't think it's a problem, but will tell you what I did in my modification. I zoomed in very close (600%) and used a 2 pixel clone brush, copying the bottom into the top, leaving the catchlight. See what you think.

I thought your image was extremely good until I looked at Pamelas mod. Now it is an image well worth framing and hanging on the wall. Well done you have a cracking image.

Its a nicely detailed shot. IMO. as the catch light is completely natural, I would leave it unless it bothers you for some reason. Then Pamelas mod resolves the issue.

I would suggest cropping to leave more room on the left, and reducing the noise that visible in the background, - I used Noise Ninja in the mod.
