He has that typical Bunting eye - black and hardly reflective to any catch-lightSad

So if anyone mentions the lack of eye light, refer them to the aboveWink

Not a bird we'll see everyday.
Looks good against the snow.
Tomcat's point is interesting about black eye
and not a bird to get good catch light.

Lovely capture and pose, Malcolm. We have these in the hedgerows in our lane, but I have never been able to catch one in the clear yet! Interesting about the non reflective eye - however, viewed on my iPad 3 retina screen I can see a good catchlight, although not as pronounced as in other species.
