I remember working on one of these back in the 1950s. (Showing my age now. lol )
Throwing the sheaves of corn up onto the top of the threshing box in the barn.
Taking it in turns to cut the strings and feed it into the thresher. A very dusty job.
A good closeup of it in motion. I wish I had been there to have seen it.

A pleasure to see this spinning along in action. You used the ideal shutter speed and overall quality is fine too. TG

I to remember these to working on my farther's farm. It was always a big day when the contractor turned up with such an array of what seem'd to be massive machines and could not wait to see them assembled together and working.
There seem'd to be belts and pulley wheels everywhere. One or two of the belts wold knock together and make a very loud slapping noise.
The Health and Safety would have a fit these days. No protection anywhere.
The one place I was definitely not allowed was on top, just in case I fell into the workings and was thrashed to death.
Happy days thanks for the memories.

Fascinating machine, clearly well-used. Much more interesting visually than the modern equivalents where all the workings are concealed, not rendered more mysterious thereby but simply ignored.
An excellent subject for monochrome with all those lines and shapes.
