Blue Tit

By Maiwand
The Blue Tit (parus caeruleus )
Read a report in todays paper that these rather nice little birds are a bit scarce this year. Is that the opinion of others as well? This is one that I did manage to capture recently and he/she certainly appears to be in good condition.
I hope you will enjoy and will have time for the large view.
I thank those who managed to find time to visit the Sedge Warbler. I really do appreciate it.

Not scarce in the South East as far as I know - I've seen loads and loads of these little beauties this year including a lot of juveniles. Lovely shot!

That bg shows this little bird's plumage colours off very nicely Ron, a great image.
With reference to your comments on this bird's scarcity this year is something I noticed a lot in the early part of the year. I put food out for them, and it was still there days later.
That said, I saw about 50 fly into the garden this morning in a very short period, so maybe they have been on holiday Smile

That is one stunning shot. Bred in our garden this year but since then scarce, probably a lot of food around in general so no need to fight with the Goldfinches.
