Holly Blues

By Glostopcat
Three shots of hollyblue butterflies all taken fairly recently. V1 and V2 are of the same butterfly on some potentilla in my back garden, and v3 was taken at my allotment.

3 great shots, but V 1 being the favourite for me, Ed, as the greyish blue of the wings seems to show up so well against the green b/g. As always, captured in remarkable detail and very natural colours. I have still to see my first butterfly up here!

Where do you get all the time to do what you do Ed? Wonderful garden, an allotment, indefatigable tog tramping all over the countryside, and holding down a job too.......phew!! Glad you do it all though as you give us some wonderful images to view as a result, as these prove!
