Choice for B&W is perfect here. I can imagine that a special color-version could give it more warmth and positive vibe...

I echo Moira's words above about your work ... it's been an absolute pleasure to view so far, and this image is no exception. Deeply moving and poignant, showing something that we can all relate to, one way or another, or will do. The photography and mono conversion are first rate, too. Although that is secondary to the content in my eyes.

I'm smiling, even as my eyes are getting moist ... a superb combination you've evoked here. The happiness of memories, but the pain of knowing that they are memories and not reality.
