A really lovely shot although the central copyright is slightly distracting

Many thanks Jennn, Rich and Ju.... as someone who makes a living out of photography, and who has had images nicked and copyright marks removed online, copyright marks are important to me Smile You can't really stop it if you put your image online so I do it to at least advertise that they are my images.......whereas I totally understand what you mean and I'd love to leave them off - I won't i'm afraid....

Very appropriate for the poetry commission, indeed. The rainbow is like a crown, absolutely gorgeous landscape shot.

Very beautiful.
It's certainly a magic moment with that wonderful light and the little rainbow.
Good to test your brakes now and then, I hope you checked your mirror first though, I've been behind people who didn't.

I'm with Ju on this.

I take your point about theft: though, surely, an image this size isn't usable anywhere but the web?

And... Doesn't it just make it harder to steal? I'm guessing that my limited PS ability could more or less eradicate the watermark in five minutes - though I won't try to prove the point, having been flamed for that in the past!

Thanks for your point of view John, which I respect, but i've had images used on commercial websites at websize without permission... It's inevitable these days I know, so at least I can get the credit for my image by having a copyright mark on. The alternative is not to upload an image I suppose, but I enjoy ephotozine, have done for 10 years now on and off... most people can see passed the watermark, and leave a comment about the image not the watermark, is it really that big a deal?.... but I do appreciate your point of view Smile

Thanks everyone Smile

I'm a bit more wary now Dougie after a car accident last year... and tend to double check the mirror these days! Wink

I didn't see any jets that day Pete.. Sad , i'm well thanks, hope you are too.
