Can't help with the larger front room Marian, but I am impressed with your image of this little lady!! Well done on capturing such a difficult subject. Good detail in the feathers, and lovely colour, composition and pose.

Nice and sharp, plenty of detail. It appears to lack a little colour saturation though (on my pc at least), The white band behind the birds head is a little off-putting, not lost though. Good capture all the same.

Really appreciate all your comments including the suggestion from Darren that it needs a bit more saturation. Very difficult to avoid the white line by it's head, it's the water that has caused that, and I think the only way to get rid of the line would be to clone it out - yes - and I may even give that a try. Most of the images had more than one white line, which was a shame. The Kingfisher has been seen in the location for a few days now, so I hope to visit again.

But 44 Votes, this could prove to be by best image of the year!

Thanks again for the comments, yes it was at Venus Pool, but he didn't stop around long, 15 mins and he was gone, and never came back. I had been in the hide for 4 hours.
Pete, I hope you get a picture one day, try asking around your local area, that's what I did. I think people must have got a little fed up with me asking all the time, but in the end it paid off.
