Well, without doubt this is a very good portrait image, but I would prefer it to be more closely cropped. The background on the right is superfluous and, with a tighter crop, the beauty of the model would be better enhanced.

Agree with mugshotmyk comment. By in large though, the shot is fine as it is. Hope you took more with different crops.

This is a lovely, natural portrait. I agree with a slight crop of the photo and in the mod I have done that. I've also slightly darkened, reduced the contrast of and blurred the b/g to give greater impact to the model.

I cloned out the stray hair to the left of her eye. The eyes were also brightened slightly along with a very small increase in contrast.

Most of the rest was using dodge and burn to emphasize or subordinate areas of the photo to produce a more 3-dimensional look.

I gave the photo some selective sharpening and put a slight vignette around the edge so the bright areas of b/g snow didn't jump forward.

I didn't clone out the small points of snow on the model's hair and jumper as it's down to personal choice and, in my case, a time issue.

Youve done everything right with this. Settings are all spot on, and I see you are enjoying this lens.

Agree with a closer crop, and I would crop space from the top also. Ive also loaded a mod, cropped closer, and reduced red a little in her face. Enhanced the catchlights in her eyes, this can make a big difference.

Happy Christmas,

regards

Superb shot !!!.....beautiful quality !!!!!!

I've done a small mod. by cropping in tight to add (for me) a lot more impact......impressive shot !!!!

Really very nice indeed and I would not crop at all. A fine composition. Just shows, stop down a bit and the result is a cracker.

Thank you guys very much for positive feedback. All your mods are different, and all of them are very beautifull.

I'll try to get better with every photo and your critique will lead me to that.

Have a nice warm Christmas and very prosperous New Year!
