Haha, looks like he's on the naughty step.
I think you captured a characterful expression and pose here.

I don't think it's necessary to include so much of the door, and the door latch. I can appreciate that having a full view of the door coincides with your "Wanna pass?" title, but for me it detracts from your subject. Others may disagree.

To this end, I have done a modification where I cropped all around the boy and left him central in the frame, so that the focus is on his pose and expression. I adjusted the white balance, which is a bit pink, lifted the shadows and sharpened.
I used perspective correction to straighten the lines of the door, and also removed some white marks on the bottom wooden step, then cloned out a light flare on the flooring from bottom right.
His eyes are about a third down in the frame now, and much more compelling.

Lovely little boy, so well dressed for his visit.

I think the door plays a role in this, as it makes him look very small and vulnerable; so I would crop some off, but leave most. I loks that tiny shaft of light coming in at the bottom right corner of the door.

I was originally thinking this wasnt really a good mono subject, but Ive tried two mono versions that look quite good, in addition to a colour. I also adjusted the image for symmetry and sight minor distortions.

I hope you like the tweaks.

This is all about the perfect pose and moment - the crop is far less important than in most pictures.

Pamela has made the result perfect.
