Chunky Chain

By Mark_C
I took this picture last year when the Formby channel buoy was washed up on Hoylake beach in high winds. The buoy spent a week or so getting battered around on the beach before low tide and calmer weather allowed the buoy to be dug out and refloated.

Hello Mark

You have the making of a very good photograph here. I see from your profile that you want feedback, so please accept this as a positive comment.

The subject is great. The photograph is overexposed in the top left corner, a tighter crop would cure that and also make the photo stronger. A little sharpening and saturation in photoshop would also help.

This shows that you have one very important thing though, the ability to spot a good image.

Well done and keep at it.

Hi There.
Thanks for looking at the image and for your comments.

Clive: I've got some wider shots, but i'm not too happy with them to be honest. I will hunt one out and post it. Thank you

Keith: Thank you, this is exactly the kind of feedback I am looking for. I'm not as confident as I would like to be with photoshop at the moment, however I enroled on a course at my local college yesterday to remedy that. With a bit of luck the next few weeks should see some developments on that front (providing they continue the course for just the 3 of us who turned up).
Thanks again, I really appreciate the help.

Kind regards
