Bike to work...

I have been known to get out of bed at the crack of a sparrows fart and head off out with the camera to see what I can find.

This morning however the sparrow farted and I got my bike out of the garage.

I cycled to work this morning.

So what I hear you say.
I live in Hemel Hempstead.
I work in Stevenage.
21 miles as the crow flies and I usually start at 7am.

At 5 am this morning it was beautiful where I live. As I cycled along the country lanes, occasionaly stopping to look at the OS map and make sure I was going the right direction, I wished I had my camera with me.
The morning light on the fields, the rabbits and deer I startled as I went down lanes, the mist hanging low in some of the small valleys I had to pass through.
Hardly any traffic either

It took me 1 hour 55 minutes, total distance 20.97 miles. If I had had my camera with me I wouldn't be halfway here yet!

I enjoyed it and felt proud of myself for cycling all that way this morning.

Now who is going to give me a lift home?
Some nice pubs down those country lanes, I expect the return journey to take approximately 4 hours!
Don't fancy the traffic along some of those lanes though.

Filled some more holes in the bathroom walls last night and rebuilt the windowsill.

Got the Wii Fit out and found I had lost 2lb in 6 days. Well pleased. Then I remembered that I gave blood in the morning. How much does that weigh?

Blood - well it's about an armful, so you're going around with an empty arm! Wink
