Spent last week in Northumberland which is a beautiful part of the country if you havenít been. This is my first upload from there which is of Dunstanburgh Castle, probably one of the most photographed castles in Northumberland, but I just love this place so hereís another one.

Looks nice and sharp up front and the light is lovely. It's the perfect time of year for late light at Dunstanburgh and this shows it off a treat.

Lovely contrasting cool and warm light between fg & bg; nice warmth on the castle to draw us in across those shiny, cold stones.

an incredible image, the composition is strong, but the real power in this image comes from the foreground, those rocks glistening like polished jet, and the water looking like mist between them, a wonderful image

Very nice - like the textures and detail caught in the large dark stones and the pleasing light in the distance.

Nice comp, as I like the darker wet rocks that contrast nicely with the warm light on the castle and the incoming wave is a really nice feature

I like the contrast between the sunlit portions and the parts in the shade. It enhances the focal point of the castle.
