The lake at sunrise

By marktc
The golden glow of the morning sunlight reflects off of the surface of the lake as it turns the sky pink, purple and gold.

I find this image very soothing and serene, it was very peaceful when I was taking it, the best time of the day, fresh, clean and wonderful.

After nearly 3 months of waiting my Lee Big Stopper finally arrived yesterday... yippppeeeeeee.

To get the longer exposure for this image I used a combination 1.2ND and 0.9 ND Grad.

Thanks for looking and to all those that clicked and commented on yesterdays upload.

Good exposure on the water - still but not too blurred.
I've still to master the 9 grad Stopper.
Beautiful sky colours and reflections.

Jenn said it all -- This is a magical image. It has that "wow" factor. Good use of the ND's.

Lovely light in this and stunning colour. One suggestion if you don't mind..... try a 4x5 crop to concentrate more on the water and lose those odd clouds at the top,I find them a little distracting. No offence meant - just a little constructive criticism Wink
