Honey Bee

By Marshmallow
Well, my first critique experience with ephotozine was quite painless and proved very positive. So, I am feeling brave and have uploaded my second image for comment.

Background - I have a bit of a thing for taking pictures of bees just now. They pretty challenging little creatures to capture but when you do it's quite magical.

Camera - Nikon D40
Lens - Sigma 50mm F1.4mm EX DG (but also thinking of buying a macro lens)
Apeture - F1.4
Shutter - 1/1250
ISO - 200
White Balance - Auto
Exposure Mode - Auto
Metering - Centre weighted
Time - July - 11.30am
Modifications - quite a bit of tinkering (so have lost track exactly of the processes). Also added a watercolour filter as it helped with the contrast and definition as well injecting a little more summer atmosphere.

Love to hear your thoughts.
