Peter Pan

By Marshmallow
THE STORY

"I want always to be a little boy and have fun."

Borders Youth Theatre are presently performing Peter Pan and this image was taken as one of the promotional shots for the posters.

The image was shot in a woodland location with the model dressed in old furs and fresh ferns. We wanted to paint a more dark and feral version of Peter Pan rather than the Panto one that so often springs to mind.

THE TECHNICAL BIT

Aperture - f/3.5
Shutter - 1/25
ISO - 200

MANIPULATION
I wanted to create a misty and magical image so I have played around with this shot quite lot.

Crikey Rob ... I'm rubbish at remembering what I did in Photoshop. I just sort of start tinkering until I feel I can go voila! However, in no particular order ... I do remember desaturating the image a fair bit, I added a filter (but I can't remember which one), I used the burn tool to strengthen the darker areas on and around his face. The dodge tool on his eyes and the blown highlights in the top right. I also did a little noise reduction but I wanted to produce a vintage image so didn't take it all away. The rest has now disappeared from mind. Thanks for your comments ... I'll tell him you think he's a super star Smile

Who cares how you arrived at the final presentation ~ This is a very natural piece of work with a difference....
It smelled of Peter Pan even B4 the text so thats the end result in One!
Clever Portrayal and he's gonna go far with the expression and intensity to boot
