Great mood and composition, lovely work.

Nice picture, nice light.
But the picture can be more powerful when you go a few steps to the left or to the right. So the tree is out of the centre. It will be a better photo !

That tree is a good subject isn't it - I got one or two of it in my pf somewhere Smile

Nice use of the technique which Keith Henson explained at Focus on imaging about the central horizon as there's a good feeling of space and I like the light with the sky.

LOL @ Paul.

Good start with the new toy. Hope it's still in one piece! Now who said something about central trees not catching on!!

You must be excited about getting the shot on EPZ, People/Portraits as a category!! Now did you get the ISO right?

Great composition. Interesting f/g and that sky adds power to the image of the tree.

"Nice triangular lead in to a central subject on a central horizon given a nice feel of space" - or something like that :o)

Some nice depth in this - can't wait to go play with mine - it seems we both got the same deal on Sunday!

Cheers, Nik

You have made the best of the available conditions. It is easy to make the switch from the 20D isn't it Martin.
