Sunset Over the 'Plug Hole'

The local name for what are officially shaft spillways to drain the water from Ladybower Reservoir. I was there on Tuesday afternoon....and quite lucky both with catching the water draining as they only drained it for two days....and secondly as the cloud lifted just before sunset, so illuminating Bamford Edge in the distance Smile

The first venture out this year for photography in The Peaks.

Lovely warm light and calm water around the edge of the funnel. They make a good contrast with the spilling water.

This is something like out of a James Bond movie. Quite frightening. I hope wildlife don't get sucked down into it.
