Moody Bamburgh

By Martin54
Just back from an excellent week in Northumberland. From a photographic point of view Bamburgh was a "must visit" location - this image is from Friday evening as the tide was receeding leaving various small pools and wet rocks exposed.

ND Grads used to balance the sky with the rocks (probably 4 stops worth - I can't recall exactly) plus Heliopan C-Pol filter to remove some of the reflections from the pool and the rocks.

I've posted a quick mono conversion as a variation which I quite like - any opinions welcome.

Thanks for looking.

Much preffer the B&W, really emphasises the mood.
Both looks good to me !!! The colors are great in No1 and there is a more dramatic feel in No.2 ... but if i have to choose only one i will go with the color version ...

Two great images but I think the colour gets my vote.
