Very nicely done. At this size the ISO1600 is OK. Been nice to use 400 or less if possible, though. I have a 7D and it performs well at high ISO. It performs even better at lower settings though.

Paul trust me that i wish to work on lower iso but it was just moment in the middle of fight bunch of owls around so i needed fast shutter speed. And it was rainy day around sunset, so it wasnt enough light at all.

A nice shot Martin, and good ISO performance. The 400mm prime looks a lot sharper than the 100-400 zoom.

After downloading the image and checking in ACR, the colour temp seemed a little cool, so I have warmed it a little. Checking with threshold and curves also suggests its cool.

I would suggest you can bring some life to the eyes by painting a 1 pixel white spot in the appropriate areas, - makes a difference. if you zoom in close enough you can see where highlights should go.

Theres just a little too much empty space on the left, so cropping to a printable aspect ratio is a good idea.

Ive uploaded a mod with all this included, hope it works for you.

All the best for 2013 on the left coast!
