Bateleur Eagle

By MartinjD
Well it hasn't all been bad weather lately.

This was image was taken on Wednesday in between snow showers.

It is a juvenile male Bateleur Eagle who lives at The Hawk Conservancy Trust near Andover. When the bird is fully mature it has stunning black white and red markings.

Cropped to square format as I felt it worked best on this angle. Best viewed in large if you can - the bird has some great feather detail around the head.

Thanks for the feedback on my last posting - much appreciated
