Hmmm,
this should work but (to me) it dosn't grab me at this size. I just had a look at it in PS and a couple of things seem possible:
Increase the saturation by +40 or so and you get some lovely colour contrasts from the sand and sky.
Desaturating it and cropping out the sky creates a lovely stark panoramic image with a diagonal right through the pic which looks triffic.
Just some ideas.

Martyn - I agree with Chris, this should work. In a way it really does. The saturation may not be a factor on the larger image as this version has a dreamy feel to it which I quite like.
Increasing the saturation would give it some punch which could work well too.
