Shutters & Cycles

By martynj
A row of terraced houses in Copenhagen.

I'd appreciate any comments on the composition. Do you think the visible seat in the bottom left is good/bad? Likewise, would it benefit from closer cropping on the right to remove the sky?

I think you might be right on the saddle in the bottom left, I'd be inclined if possible to clone that out. I think a tighter crop might work especially if you got rid of the little bit of sky. I'd then saturate it a little just to beef up the colours somewhat. Of course this is all relative and what I'd do, doesn't really matter so long as it's pleasing to your eye.....Hope this helps....Regards...Ade

Thanks for your opinion Ade. Will have a go at the suggested changes. Martyn

My first impression when I saw the image was that the saddle had to go. Lovely image otherwise, very well taken.

Agree with Ade's suggestions...its got the potential to be a reall good shot, with the repeating patterns of the shutters and bikes, going on and on... =)
