Sorry, I don't have much time but I wanted to point out that horizons are still important even when you can't see them. The trees are all falling to the left, don't forget to straighten your image before uploading.

Thank you Davesumner for making the point I was going to make. Once corrected this will be a fine image, an interesting and original take on the Autumn leaves theme.

A worm's eye view, Marvin, and very nicely done. At first, I wasn't keen on the large out-of-focus leaves in the foreground but, having tried to remove them, I see that they play an important part in the picture. I have done a modification where I simply used the straightening tool, using the large tree, and allowing an auto crop. There is now a slope on the landscape which I think looks very attractive. My second modification shows a crop which is intended to give half-and-half on the diagonal, and includes a small levels adjustment. I also darkened the small white patch which is right in the centre of the background, and blurred the trees.

I don't mind the tilt - works both ways. If you straighten the trees, you tilt the foreground - who is to say which is correct? what i do think is that you need one leaf as a main dominant subject.
